Miley Cyrus’s Kaleidoscopic Los Angeles Home

Miley Cyrus’s kaleidoscopic cool Los Angeles home is moody yet colorful with a rock and roll edge. Miley’s maximal style showcased throughout the home combining vintage pieces with modern elements. Mixing new and old she created a home that expresses her personal style. Our favorite aspect of Miley Cyrus’s decor style is how applicable the design principles are to any home – more is more and express your own personality through it. Take risks, contrast bright colors against deep backgrounds and pick items that you truly love to transform Miley Cyrus’s home into your own celebrity home.

Deep rich hues are one of the current up-and-coming décor trends and it comes as no surprise that Miley Cyrus, a celebrity known for her trendsetting style, was ahead of this one. An inviting modular sectional warms up the moody living room and the quirky works of art scattered throughout lighten the mood. We love scouring 1st Dibs, Chairish and Etsy for unique vintage and one-of-a-kind finds and can’t help but wonder if she sourced her Anemone chair by Giancarlo Zema for Giovanetti, Gulla Jonsdottir Puzzle table and Takashi Murakami art from any of those sites. Take inspiration from the signed Debbie Harry piece and incorporate vintage vinyl records into your design – why let your records collect dust in a cabinet when you could showcase them as visual art. Whether you have a celebrity sized budget or a few extra dollars to spare, incorporating unique pieces into your décor will add the Miley Cyrus cool-factor to your own home.

If you want a room to pack a punch with minimal effort, wallpaper should be your new best friend. We love the dramatic flair that Miley’s Gucci Tiger Face wallpaper adds to a room with limited space. Whether you lean in and go with a strong graphic wallpaper print like Miley or dip your toe in the wallpaper water with a more subtle print, go for it! Now is the time to have fun with printed wallpaper. If you’re not ready to commit to a permanent wallpaper we have a few tricks up our sleeve for how to make regular wallpaper renter-friendly and removable without damaging walls – more on that coming soon!

Miley Cyrus House Tour - Dining Room

Miley’s dining room is a reminder of the impact a printed piece of upholstered furniture can make on the room. The Prism fabric by Pindler and Atelier de Troupe’s Tempo Pendant are the stars of the show in this room. Without breaking the bank, a similair look can also be achieved with an affordable dark geometric fabric on your dining chairs and a lighting fixture with clean lines such as the Modern Baton Chandelier from France and Son’s

The kitchen is light and bright with lots of natural sunlight contrasted by matte black accent details and pops of print and color. One of our favorite trends is sculptural furniture like the custom dining table. Some of our other favorite sculptural round dining tables are the Sonali Dining Table from Anthropologie and the Mojave Round Dining Table available exclusively at Lulu and Georgia.

Miley Cyrus House Tour - Primary Bedroom

The standout piece in Miley’s bedroom is her stainless-steel and brass 1980s Karl Springer bed sourced from 1st Dibs. While her exact bed can be difficult to track down, you can still achieve the look with other pieces inspired by the room. We think Andrew Martin’s gilded bed captures the essence particularly well. If you’re on a tighter budget or want to play around with a new bed style without long term commitment, try a simple platform bed and get creative with the headboard. Make your own steel headboard with a sheet of brushed aluminum NuMetal or with decorative ceiling tiles. Our friends at even have a whole tutorial on DIY headboards.

Much lighter, brighter and simpler than most of the other rooms in the house, the primary bathroom provides a tranqil escape. The large Vast Studio freestanding tub and dresser for plenty of storage are components we’re definitely keeping in mind for our next bathroon remodel – you can never have too much storage! In the meantime we’ll stick with our favorite bathroom storage trick, the cabidor and keep dreaming about having enough space for a full dresser.

Miley Cyrus House Tour - Glam Room

Love this space but don’t have a glam room in your house? You can still apply the same design principles to any room in your house. An office covered in leopard print wallpaper inspired by Miley’s Osborne and Little Pantanal wallpaper and a bright red desk would be a great way to spice up your work day. We particularly love the Plec Steel Desk Table from 2Modern or for a more affordable option the Faunsdale 3 Tier Modern Desk.

One of our favorite aspects of Miley Cyrus’s studio is the unexpected pop of the yellow polka dot Saletti chair against the rest of the deep hued psychedellic space. If you want to try out the look in a more subtle way start with a Saletti folding chair or try a yellow polkadot throw pillow or a cozy yellow blanket on a chair you already have. Accessorising classic pieces with trendy throws is one of our favorite ways to change the style of a room with minimal commitment.
